On the evening of April 26, 2025, at Ba Ria Park Square (Dien Bien Phu Street, Phuoc Nguyen Ward, Ba Ria City), a special art program took place, featuring the Vung Tau Drone Light Show, 3D Mapping, and a high-altitude fireworks display – marking the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province (April 27, 1975 – April 27, 2025).

This is one of a series of three nationwide drone shows in April, produced in collaboration with Loon Eyes Studio – taking place in Ho Chi Minh City (10,500 drones), Vung Tau (500 drones), and Tra Vinh (300 drones) during the national commemorative week.
Magnitude & Meaning
The Vung Tau performance took place amid the festive atmosphere of the city’s coastal, cultural, and tourism celebrations, as the destination prepared to welcome a large influx of visitors for the April 30th – May 1st holiday. The use of drones in place of traditional fireworks was not only a captivating entertainment choice but also a statement of technological innovation, environmental safety, and modern vision in organizing large-scale public events.
Thus, the Vung Tau drone show was more than just a local celebration – it became a defining milestone that reinforced Loon Eyes Studio’s position as a leading creator capable of executing multiple large-scale drone shows simultaneously within a nationwide commemorative series.
The Message and Imagery of the Vung Tau Drone Light Show
Along the shores of Vung Tau, as night fell, clusters of glowing drones began to “paint” symbolic images across the sky – from the dove of peace and the historical milestone marking 50 years of reunification, to vivid depictions of Vietnam and its people entering a new era.
Lasting around ten minutes, the show was both visually striking and emotionally resonant, crafting a breathtaking scene where sea and light intertwined – delivering a deeply immersive sensory and spiritual experience for the audience.

More than a technological or visual spectacle, the performance served as a story told through light – portraying the resilience, growth, and integration of Ba Ria–Vung Tau in particular, and of Vietnam as a whole.
A Defining Role in Vietnam’s National Celebration Series
The Vung Tau show served as a vital link in a trilogy of major performances:
- Ho Chi Minh City – 10,500 drones
- Ba Ria – Vung Tau – 500 drones (April 26, 2025)
- Tra Vinh – 300 drones (April 28, 2025)
By staging the shows across multiple provinces rather than focusing solely on major urban centers, the project reflected a deliberate strategy of cultural outreach — laying the foundation for a truly national brand in drone light performances.
As highlighted in our previous feature on the Tra Vinh Drone Light Show, Loon Eyes Studio continues to affirm its leading position through the successful execution of each event in this nationwide series.
